Okay, so, regular PLA does NOT have a nozzle temperature of 190°C - 230°C range for regular speed printing Some PLAs MAY have a top temp. of 230°C for speed printing...important distinction there. It is mentioned that different printers may produce different results but it is not mentioned that the same can be said for brand of wood filaments. Different brand wood filled filaments are not all made the same way and will, therefore, require their own specific settings also. (what brand was used in this video?). That all said, thanks for the video. I am at this very moment printing with wood filament and I ran the same tests :o ) Snapmaker make a very nice wood filled PLA that works great on my Prusa's. Additional info: You MUST dry wood filled filament as it is VERY hygroscopic (absorbs moisture) which wiill ruin your print. It is recommended that when printing any material filled filament (wood, shredded carbon fiber, etc.), use a 0.6mm nozzle to mitigate nozzle clogging. Also, you can print these materials with brass nozzles but they will wear relatively quickly due to material abrasiveness; hardened nozzles (i.e. E3D NozzleX) withstand wearing much better.

Thank you for the additional information, the brand of filament really makes a lot of difference, it is interesting whenever you get a filament from a different brand to test it.

@@stlflix I don’t post-print paint models so filament colour, texture, etc. are as much of the decision make process of which model to print as the model itself. The choices that have come into the market just in the last few years is awesome! And now with multicolour 3D printing and the ‘painting’ function in slicers…wow!

Pretty much everything you mentioned is in the video. I guess for total beginners it would be nice to spell things out. But would think by the time you're printing with more exotic filament you know that it takes twerking and not all are the same, even something that works with the same filament and machine for one person doesn't necessarily mean it will work for another.

Merci, je vais tenter la bobine de pla bois qui traîne depuis mes débuts en impression 3d, soit 2 année 😅

So, do the tests and it will be successful 😄

Was this all with a 0.4mm nozzle? Every time I've tried using one that small I've gotten major clogs!

Read my comment above for critical info. not given in this video...it's based on first hand, successful experience printing wood filled PLA

I used the 0.4 nozzle and it didn't clog, but do the tests and it might help heheh
