I had a transvaginal ultrasound to view my fibroids and uterus and was laying flat. a few times she asked me to raise my butt. I feel the test results may not be accurate because of the way I was lying flat, cant remember if my knees were over a pillow or not, what are your thoughts? should I have the test redone?

Thanks for the video. I had a pelvic ultrasound. It so happened to be on the first day of my period. The lady couldn't find my ovaries transvaginally but she found them only via abdomen. Is that because of my period? Can ovarian cysts be found by abdomen ultrasound?

Hi, sometimes the ovaries are a bit high in the pelvis and can be seen through the tummy (transabdominal scan of the pelvis). Usually they are better seen transvaginally (transvaginal scan of the pelvis). It won't be to do with your period :)
