Watching this makes my back throb. I had a c section 3 weeks ago and sometimes still feel the pain in my back.

Completely agree. I had 3 failed spinal blocks with mine too, extremely rare but it happened 😅

Take cofee 2 Or 3 times per day for a week. It will reduce the effect of anesthesia ok

If you still feel it then the anesthesia doctor didn't do a good job of injecting you. 😢

Had it done twice for both hip replacements. Virtually painless.

I have to get a core decompression on my hip done in a few weeks. I just want to know if I will actually still be awake for the surgery. Keep in mind I'm 13 the only part I'm scared of is the spinal anesthesia I'm scared I won't get numbed up for it or if it will hurt.
@natepulliam91916 ай бұрын
@keziahbowen3650 Get the spinal. It's virtually pain free just a little uncomfortable. Yes they will put you to sleep. The best part is they do not have to incubate you so when you are done you wake up with no hangover from the anesthesia. No sore throat.
@natepulliam91916 ай бұрын
@keziahbowen3650 when they give you the spinal within a minute everything from your waist down will go numb. You will not be able to move your legs the doctor will move you. After my hip replacement it took about 2 hours for me to feel my legs again.

You should always aspirate the syringe before infiltrating the local anaesthetic to prevent inadvertent intravenous administration.

I had 2 c-sections w/a spinal anesthesia and hated it. I had a THR 4 yrs. ago when the anesthesiologist came into my room to tell me he prefered to do a spinal on these types of hip surgeries I was shocked as in the classes you go to before the surgery never mention a spinal at all. I simply refused to have one. I could tell the DR was NOT happy at all. He acted like I was making a big mistake. I had General Anesthesia and was just fine. I'm facing knee surgery soon as I know it will be the same attitude as before. I won't have a spinal and that is that!
@monikam3503 Жыл бұрын
I had my knee surgery today and I didn't feel any kind of pain with spinal anaesthesia, they applied a gell that doesn't make any pain to me , now I'm watching this video and shocked y didn't I get any pain through this😂

@@monikam3503 What did U have done? Does it hurt now? I'm having a partial meniscectomy on Nov 22. My surgeon said NO spinal just General Anesthesia. I'm glad I would've refused it again.
@monikam3503 Жыл бұрын
@@estelleadamski308 actually spinal anaesthesia usually conducted for lower abdominal or lower part surgeries, general anesthesia is for all types of major surgeries, my doctor asked me for general but I drank a sip of watering before surgery so they didn't give me general they had to give me spinal anaesthesia, this was my mistake only

General anesthesia is safer as it has no side effects afterwards

A Spinal is the best way to go, in my opinion. I've had almost everything in the way of Anesthesia. I despise General Except for TIVA (Total IntraVenous Anesthesia). GA, except for TIVA uses too many chemicals. Level 4 and you in an induced coma and are next to dead, being kept alive by a ventilator. For some surgeries such as Open Heart, GA Level 4 is unavoidable. Stay healthy and hopefully you won't need surgery.
