That's great, Kathy! It is a time saver! I wanted to create a monogram option for crafters who don't have Cricut Access. Takes a little longer but it's a workaround. :)

Is it possible to remove foil iron on from the top of my jewelry box. The last one I made was perfect.

Hmmm, you could try gently heating it again and trying to pick it off. But it's unlikely to come up I think because foil iron on is very thin and gets down into the texture of the faux leather.

Hi, yes! I used Cricut brand Foil Iron-On in Light Gold: cricut.pxf.io/21VgmD I love to use any of the metallic Cricut Foil Iron Ons - the Rose Gold and Chrome (a bright silver) are my favorites, too!

I've never done foil w/ the Explore Air 2 - and not sure it even works. I can't find all the settings your video showed. My choice is Vinyl with Fine-Med-Bold. I tried all 3 and none of them worked. The fine didn't score all the way thru. the bold pulled the foil right off the mat (blue tape on all 4 sides), and the medium was 1/2 and 1/2. I moved my wheel to CUSTOM, but then the blinking READY light went off, so I moved it to custom. It worked, but on fine - I couldn't get it to cut all the way thru. Help! How do I get the settings you show on your video - OR - is that not possible with the Explore Air 2? The foil I'm using is StrongBond, Cricut Foil Iron on. Do I maybe have the wrong type foil???

Well... an hour later, hunting KZbin videos, watching yours for the 5th time and playing w/ my machine... I realize I had the foil - FACING UP!! Cricuit says shiney side up... Nope, it's shiney side down. VOILA!1! It worked... Best 2 hours I spent. ha!

Hi, Judy! In this video I’m not using a foiling technique. I’m just cutting foil iron-on, another name for heat transfer vinyl. So with the Explore Air 2 you would have plenty of vinyl cutting material setting options. :)

Oops! :) Sounds like you may be getting foil transfer and foil iron a little confused. For the foil transfer method, where you are using a foil tip and foil sheets, they go shiny side up so the foil underneath can be pressed onto the surface below. For foil iron on, it is cut shiny side down on your mat so the heat transfer vinyl remains stuck to the carrier sheet. I hope that helps!

I absolutely did! Once I did the iron on, shiny side down, it worked! Did you use foil sheets? It looked almost identical to the iron on that I used. Can you maybe put a link up to the foil you used??? thanks - I absolutely LOVE the jewelry box! @@AmyRomeu
