How do you take care about not damaging the pieces with the pins, when you have later 10 little wholes in a leather coat?
@Onemorecolour_studio8 ай бұрын
I pin where the sewing lines pass. Also, most of the garments are samples and they are not for sell

Where I struggle with is the folding of shirts if they're flat lay like you did in your last video. Can you do a separate video just showing folding techniques to get the clothes looking good for shooting as well as pinning techniques to the board, and what kind of pins fo you use for thick clothing?
@seanieandhelenАй бұрын
Love your video, thank you ! Please can you tell me the thickness of your poly board?

Is the Polyboard Hard or is it like Foam board? I keep trying to look it up online to buy it but it all appears as hard plastic and I don't know how anything could poke thru that
@Onemorecolour_studio9 ай бұрын
Its like the polystyrene from packaging like tv or large appliances. You can find the panels at DIY shops.

Is your white to begin with before you put the paper over... sorry so many questions the stuff I found has writing all over t for insulation and yours looks white =)
@MarcoCivale9 ай бұрын
I used a white polystyrene board, 1.2 by 2.4 meters, you can find them in every big diy store. The paper creates a smooth surface and also helps the pins to not break the board.@@privityboutique6743

Can you please show the pin shape and how it doesn’t damaged the board and the paper ?? I mean because of the weight in case of heavy garments?
@Onemorecolour_studio9 ай бұрын
They are common dressmaker pins, they don’t damage much the board because of the paper at the front. If you try without paper you’ll notice the difference. To hang heavy garment you can use 3 pins at time, 1cm or more close to each other. If something is really heavy just use an hanger with a c stand bar touching the board.

Hİ, you have an amazing channel with easy to understand explanation and very useful tips. How would you fo about shooting Leather jackets and fur? I would like to build a website for our store that hasabout 1600 pieces of leather and fur that i need to photograph. Im not sure if i should invest in a ghost manequinn, try laying them out or try anything else. What would you recommend best? Thank you for your videos.
@Onemorecolour_studio9 ай бұрын
Hi Anna, thanks! For heavy leather garments you can use a hanger to hold, attached to a C-stand with fishing wire. If you have a nice hanger you can also keep it 🙃
@annazafer19718 ай бұрын
Marco, thanks for the answer. I have decided to purchase an invisible mannequin, I think the fact that you can rotate it and take side shots is wonderful. I don’t think any other photography method lets you take photos this quickly, perhaps I think this way because I’m a beginner. But also the fact that the shoulder width and the ratio always stays the same and you don’t have to do any aligning or cropping also comforts me. What are your thoughts on ghost mannequins ?
@Onemorecolour_studio8 ай бұрын
@@annazafer1971 I shoot invisible mannequin for some clients but the most famous fashion brand are used to shoot in flatshot style/ hanger shots as it makes the garment look neater and cleaner. I know you can shoot side shot on mannequin but it's not always necessary when having model images + front product shot.

Hey, I think this works better for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2O2m3Vjoqtpm8U Not sure about the ring light as you need lots of power and a softer light. Might be a good idea to invest in a softbox :D
