This was the most useful video I’ve seen all day. Thank you!

THANK YOU!!! I wish I had found this two months ago. I ahed sent the lockdown trying to film a tongue-in-cheek animation with polished miniature armour and the polished steel is either black or reflected white on playback, so I am about to try this as I only have one week left to film. Subscribed. 🏆🇬🇧

Can you do a video about soft vs hard light as opposed to specular light vs diffused light. I am confused as I cannot figure out if we are talking the light source per se or the way the light is reflected on the subject. If light hitting a tarmac appears diffused, will it then suddenly be specular if you pour water on it?

Great demo. What do you think of Savage Translum in comparison to tracing paper? I've just begun using some and it seems to give very even diffusion, though even the medium weight is quite a bit stiffer than paper, and takes a stop of light or so from the scene.

Really informative vid.. Can the two diffusion layers be close together or is there a separation distance to be observed to get the best effect?

You’ve really got it in for camera clubs 😂😂 I’ve seen jewellery shot in a similar fashion to deal with reflections, it’s a great idea. The initial shot is pretty awful, however it does retain that silvery chrome look that the final image loses, what can be done to recover that?

TinHouse Studio all this practise putting videos out will pay off! If I may offer some feedback, it’s distracting when you speak right up until the end and the suggested videos appear over your face.

TinHouse Studio I think that would work. Your branding again? My favourite is the way James Popsys ends his videos.

Does anybody know which capturing program is this?
