OMG! No one has ever explained the exposure trio so clearly. 3 up/3 down! All that money wasted on photography courses that never gave a simple guide like that???? You Sir are wonderful. My dyslexia understood your lesson from beginning to end. Thank you from the bottom of my heartxxxxx

I will visit an area with plenty of waterfalls very soon and so I was looking for advice and inspiration on how to photograph them properly. Found your channel - and this video has it all. Clear and easy to understand. As a pure hobbyist I knew the exposure triangle before, but now I know how I can use that in practice! At least until practice again reminds me of my enormous learning potential ;) Great fun to watch your channel. Thank you very much, Gary!

As I watch in progress, a couple of thoughts: - The best light for waterfalls is indirect: shaded or at least partly overcast. Bright sunlight is the worst because of highlights. - I highly recommend a polarizing filter. Even on a cloudy day, a polarizer will ameliorate ambient reflections and bring out color. I personally prefer shutter speeds between 0.5 to one second, depending on the strength of the waterfall. From there, I bracket. Sometimes I'll blend in a faster shutter speed just to better combine water motion and detail. EDIT: At 16:25 the voiceover went to stereo, which was much better. Not sure what you did different, but thanks.
