literally insane advice. basic word processing and streaming, get an i5? There's i3 that can easily handle that. 32GB of RAM? Lol! 8 is fine for the above, even 16, but 32 is insane, way too much. 32 is plenty even for high end gaming.

RAM, RAM, RAM. The MORE you can add, afford, the better. I hardly look at processors, but this is in general use, typical office, student, etc. When you go higher pro in GFX, VFX it's all about the video card where MORE video memory also is as important. Although the gamer market is huge, gamers get gamer specific laptops. But if you really want to go faster on any computer, MASTER the OS. Period. Whichever you use, Windows, macOS, Linux, etc. etc. learn all the keyboard shortcuts, learn how to navigate, organize as a root level skill. Then you may realize that as you fly through work, your computer really isn't what you need anymore and upgrade!
