Long term Leatherman user here. I got my first while in the military. My unit issued a different brand multitool that many are familiar with. The blades would break easily (no prying) and it was just lacking in uses for the size. I’ve carried the PST (my first back in the 90s), Rebar, Bond, Supertool, Signal, Charge Plus, Wave Plus, OHT (reminded me of that tool I was issued, but of better quality and usefulness, still bulky, but if it’s for heavy duty or military use, and will ride on a belt or molle system, I recommend finding one since they are discontinued), P2 and P4, and now I have an Arc. I admit I like to try them all. I have a few currently for different uses, but the Arc is a mainstay. On the job, I have a Charge Plus that rides in a molle sheath on my plate carrier, and that’s my “dirty tool” and the Arc is for every day mundane stuff around the home, in the office, husband, dad fix-it, camp chores. I carry the Signal for caving and bush walking, and sometimes I’m feeling nostalgic and carry the Bond. Yeah, I dig em all lol

That's awesome! We hope our multi-tools continue to serve you well.

Have more than one. Sometimes you need two pairs of pliers: one for the bolt and one for the nut. I have several. The best one is the one that is close at hand. So in a multi story house, at least one per floor.
@LeathermanToolGroupАй бұрын
1 per floor is a good rule to have.

Arc - Great all rounder multitool especially for EDC carry. Signal - Camping, Survival or Outdoor use. I switch between these 2 and it's more than enough for me.

I do alot of different things from work to fabricating and welding carpentry hunting to fixing vehicles ...literally little bit of everything and the wave+ is all i need my all time favorite is the old vintage original supertool
@Sanderson890Ай бұрын
I'd say if you wanna get one and don't know which one to choose, just go for a Wave+ if you need tools on exterior. If you like or want a classical style similar to original Leatherman, go for a Rebar.
@WarthreadАй бұрын
If you can't decide (or you're just not sure what you'll be using your multitool for), choose the one you like the most visually. I fell in love with Signal at first sight and I still love it after a couple of years.

I think if you're going to buy one the Rebar is the best one, it's the real one that developed to be the best version from the original idea, all the others are not really needed.

I have a surge and a charge. Surge is for hard work but the main edc tool is the charge tti. The best multitool I have ever had. (A tried a lot) now I should have to try the arc, I am very curious 👀

Can’t decide between the arc or surge. I like the easy access of the arc tools but heard the surge is very heavy duty.
@LeathermanToolGroup25 күн бұрын
If you anticipate needed to do operate your multi-tool with one hand then we would suggest the ARC. If you think it'll mostly be used for heavy-duty type work, then we would suggest the Surge. Truthfully, both are great multi-tools so it's hard to go wrong.

I keep a old Juice S2 in my hockey bag and a free p2 in my car. I tried the micra but found the quality to be lacking. The new modern tools just don’t have a variety of usefulness anymore (just my opinion). For daily carry I prefer a midsize like the old Juice models
@Phoenix_CoreАй бұрын
We need an Arc key chain companion tool not a micra. leave the Arc in the bag and the companion always on your person with your keys
@LeathermanToolGroupАй бұрын
We'll pass this feedback along to our product development team!

If you want a Leatherman for your keychain… forget that micra and find a second hand squirt. Much better but unfortunately discontinued.

I agree. I wish they would focus less on their limited runs and just focus more on QC for their existing line of tools. I got a Knifeless Rebar and it was so stiff that I couldn't physically open it without using a lot of strength, and it was painful to open and close... I don't understand how tools like that make it out of the factory.
