If its any thing that I've learned about termites here in Tx. Treated has a shelf life and those suckers will eat through anything wood sooner or later.

Yeah. Good luck finding KDAT. I haven't. I don't know if its the marketing or the product, but if they can't get reputable local dealers, there is a problem somewhere. Zero sources of this wood within 100 miles, despite having RP, Home Depot, Menards, Lowes and several large and local dealers. Not one freaking stick in 100 miles.

If your supplier don't know, find another supplier. CCA = copper, chromium, arsenic - except I don't think you can get arsenic anymore. They have some sort of substitution. I was hoping thelis video would teach me about that.

is yellow pine all they use? its twist factor is legendary..i wish they sold SPFcheap white BUT treated to reduce twisting....im talking twisting so bad it pulled the screws up out of my deck!...IM NOW getting ready to build 40 fixed pane windoews,,,and yellow pine will have to dry a year to allow me to locate the OUT -OF CONTROLindividual boards so I can NOT USE THEM...

They didn't seem to care about post frame, but if I understood them right; the CCA was treated to .6. That has been the industry standard for embedded posts for decades. CCA = copper, chromium, arsenic. I thought the environmentalists banned arsenic. But if you ask your supplier for CCA; you should get the current substitute.

CCA is not actually banned, just a bit restricted. You can still buy it, especially at ag supply places.

I must say, this seems more of an advertisement than informative. I am disappointed in the information content. Your title indicates a discussion of the kinds of treated lumber. Your information provided on that subject is minimal. Poor presentation of a misleading title. I’m not interested in your product line. I was interested in learning about the different kinds of treated lumber, but I didn’t get that.
