On my own laptop it works buttt I ve worked on my friends laptop for a while in her rekordbox and wanted to export my songs ( with cues) ... didn t work! :/ I tried it through just clicking not synchronizing bc i m scared it will erase my 200 other songs on my dj usb... So you need to have the music on your usb. Just dragging and dropping it in there. But not only this, you also need to export via rekordbox. Am I right? Lets say I have a folder on my usb with all my techno songs ánd a folder pioneer after exporting which contains a playlist with all the analysed techno songs. Because if I only export a playlist and I have no physical songs on my usb, it will not work..

What If I copy the songs from COMPUTER to the DRIVE first, then create playlists in RKB (DEVICE > New playlist), then drag the songs from DRIVE into the New playlist? Is it worked? Kim Runic You’re right, and Pioneer has NEVER said you can’t use over a 32G drive. They say you must use FAT which isn’t supported by windows on drives over 32G so I guess that might be why there’s some confusion.

çheck if the drive is recognized by windows/mac in the disk utility. If yes, then partition and format it. If not, it is probably broken

I think some of the file formats are not supported. Make sure you made playlists in rekordbox

nee dat is een instelling: blauw of kleur. Ik vind kleur makkelijker omdat rood je bas is. De kwaliteit van de mp3 zit meestal in de sample rate en bit rate (hoeveel geluids informatie er per seconde wordt opgeslagen). een sample rate van: 44 Khz en 320 kb/s geeft een goede kwaliteit voor mp3. MAAAARRR. Ga je professioneel draaien zou ik voor een zogenaamd lossless formaat gaan zoals WAV. In een club met goede speakers ga je dat horen (niet thuis op je laptop). Alle mp3s die je koopt of beatport hebben een goede kwaliteit. Meeste illegale downloads hebben prutkwaliteit.

I recent used rekord buddy 2 and had all my cues, loops transferred to rekordbox from Serato Dj. they show up in rekordbox on my computer but when I go to plug a external hard drive or flash drive with those tracks, they then don't show up on cdjs.. any ideas why?

did you look in the options screen, maybe there is an option not to transfer the hotcues or something. otherwise. try to format the usb drive and transfer again. maybe that helps

no I don't really have a video on that. technically the sync function should take care of that. I you don't use sync but export, you can open the usbstick in recordbox (click on it, or right click... don't know I don't do it often). It should give you playlists on the stick and try to right click or pressing delete. (I'm not sure, my sticks die more often before I get to the point of deleting stuff from it)

If i use serato and not the USB stick it does load to the cue point I have set. Is it something I have done in recordbox that was not set properly when loading a track. Inhave tryed all autocue buttons on the CDJ

32gb i think so, pioneer didn't change the software in the mean time. usb drives can fail indeed, but also the 64 gb may be the culprit

I tried to copy all music from one external hard drive to another. All cue points and beat grid info lost. Also software beat grid is off on about 50% of soongs

I'm getting that you are not exporting but really copying: that doesn't wok indeed. You need to change the references in the library, but that's not an easy task and requires some labour I have 2 videos on the channel about moving your rekordbox library....

If the (mp3) tags are empty, nothing will be displayed. You can use mp3tag to enter the tags. I use beatport to download, all the tags are filled out.

ik snap je niet helemaal. maar dat kan iets te maken hebben dat de cdj 2000 nexus en lager maar 3 hotcues ondersteunen. de cdj 2000 nxs 2 ondersteunt er 8 (2x4 - je hebt nl 2 hotcue banks)

probably never. They have to pay a license fee to microsoft. But... ntfs isn't that suited for usb sticks, but Exfat is! because it is made with usb sticks in mind (things with error checking and optimizing for non mechanical media)

I didnt, but I know that the CDJs dont support it. Pioneer doesnt want to, probably because of licensing issues. They warn you also not to use fat32 formatting programs that format larger drives that 32gb, the cdj will show an error

Excellent tutorial Dexter. I have a pioneer xdj rx, and a lot of times while playing, one or both of my connected usb drives give me a "track not analyzed message" Or sometimes "file is missing" When I get the "track not analyzed" message the track will still play but will not show any rekordbox info / wav form on the display. This happens after playing for a couple of hours and it happens to random tracks. When I connect the usb drives to rekordbox and click on "show missing files" the files are not missing and don't seem to be corrupted. (My tracks are all bought from sites like beatport and traxsource in mp3 320mbps format) When inserting the usb drive to my xdj rx again the tracks that had errors before play without a problem. I have updated both my xdj rx and rekordbox to the latest versions. The usb drives I use are two identical, metal, kingston 128gb data travelers 3.0 with about 59gb used. I never have any of these problems when I plug the usb drives into a pioneer cdj 2000 nexus player. Do you know how this can be solved? Or what the problem could be? Your help is appreciated.

The usb drives are formatted: mac os extended (journaled) since I only use them on a mac.

I think that that is de problem. USB drives have to be formatted as FAT32 max 32GB. You can even do that on a mac. Pioneer explicitly say that they DON'T support any other file system. I am surprised that it even works in the first place to be honest.

I have always used Fat32 on my old usb drives, but fat32 is REALLY slow compared to mac os extended (journaled) About 4 x slower... I don't know if you're familiar with "Pulse" and "djtechtools.com" but both have recommended or mentioned mac os ext. if the usb's are only used on a mac. Pulse is a moderator on Pioneer's online forum. He actually recommended mac os extended if you use mac only. I also mentioned that I NEVER had this problem on cdj2000 nxs or the cdj 2000 nxs2. I would like to say that I will try Fat32 again. But with 60 gb of music... I don't know if I have that kind of patience ;)

I think you mean: do you have to use USB/SD or not? No you don't. You can use Rekordbox or Algoriddim DeeJay to feed the CDJ. Use the back side USB instead of the USB port on the top. See my Algoriddim DJ video and the Pro-DJ-link video. Both explain in detail how it works.

the process of putting files on the usb drive is called exporting. I would analyze the songs with rekordbox to prevent those kinds of errors. burning mp3s to a cd or dvd won't work
