Cheers from Switzerland! I have the same front range and it is a beast: lightweight, wind-resistant (got to 50km/h wind), solid ropes, low condensation and beautiful colour. I have added the MSR guy lines in case of higher wind. Nice video, you are the first result I found when looking for some reviews about the tent. Saw the other videos as well. Nice Channel!

Thanks for the feedback! What kind of environment are you using it in?

C'est quand même pas mal d'ouvrage pour faire un bon fond mais en raquettes un peu plus facile . Moi ce que j'aime moins c'est de défaire le tout au matin , c'est gelé dur ! Thanks for the tip

Crazy how much the MSR Front Range costs! Isn't is just a tarp with zip door?
@KaneDoesOutdoors Жыл бұрын
The cost of some things definitely surprises me: 30$ for a pair of boxers that probably costs
@DirtRiderLife Жыл бұрын
@@KaneDoesOutdoors Agreed, relative pricing does not make much sense anymore but to me it does make sense to pack a Front Range instead of a tarp. Thanks for your channel, really enjoying your local content and on point topics

How do you feel about the difference in price between hyperlight and msr regarding their Tp style tents
@KaneDoesOutdoors Жыл бұрын
The MSR is less than half the price compared to the HMG ultamid 4 but only 8 ounces heavier. I’d rather put that 500$ somewhere else.

Hi Kane - what do you use under the base of your center pole when you’re pitching in snow?
@KaneDoesOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hi Rob - Nothing - just pack down snow and I use poles with big snow baskets. Never had an issue at all, the snow turns to rock once it is packed down. I use a little piece of plastic plumbing pipe with a cap glued on to put over the sharp tip of my pole that’s in the mid’s peak.
