Pitching Social Media Marketing Services: A Real-Life Example
Welcome to another fantastic day in my life as a digital marketing agency owner here in Sigtuna in Sweden. Today, I'm going to visit what will hopefully become a client. I'm going to visit a conference center here between Sigtuna and Arlanda. It's an old farm in the middle of the beautiful countryside here and they run a conference center. They also host weddings and courses and it's a really beautiful place and a really nice couple runs this conference center. So, what you're going to learn from this video is how to pitch your services as a digital marketing agency owner. After some preparation, I'm now going to drive to their conference center.
Tips for a Successful Social Media Marketing Pitch
I'm excited to share with you my experience pitching my social media marketing services to the owners of the beautiful conference center called Herresta Lada. As I arrive at the conference center, located on a beautiful farm in the countryside of Sigtuna close to the airport Arlanda, I am greeted by the owners of the conference center. After introducing myself and my business, I dive into my pitch explaining the value that my social media marketing services can bring to their conference center. I talk about how social media can help them reach a wider audience, and attract more attendees to their events, and more conferences. The owners of the conference center, Herresta Lada, ask me many questions about my services and how their modern conference center will fit into my marketing strategies. I reassure them that I am flexible and able to tailor my services to fit the unique needs and goals of their business. I also share specific ideas on how I can use social media, mainly Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, to showcase the beauty of the conference center and create engaging content for their audience and build their audience. I emphasize the measurable results that they can expect to see from my social media marketing efforts, such as increased website traffic, increased sales, more customers, more conference bookings, and higher engagement rates. During the pitch, the owners of the conference center show more and more interest in what I'm offering and they decide to let my agency take care of their organic social media for the next few months. Pitching can be intimidating, but by doing my research, practicing my pitch, and being myself, I was able to deliver a strong and confident presentation.

@@josyphilip Hi @josyphilip! Many thanks for watching, and commenting! And for the kind words! 😄It was so fun to create this video. I think I will make it a habit to record more videos from my everyday life (and try to record cinematic clips now and then), plus of course talking head clips. Filming is not so time-consuming. The bottlenecks for me are the administrative stuff: exporting from the camera cards, and sorting out what to save and not to save, etc. But filming and editing are so fun. When I think of it now I realize that it is silly that fear of added administrative work keeps me doing more of what I really enjoy. I think I will make it my new year promise to film more. @@josyphilip I have some ideas on what you can say to make the client see the advantages of having a consistent strategy and branding over several platforms - one important point is the "know, like, and trust factor" - if they see the brand and products on several platforms their familiarity with the brand will increase and they will become more and more inclined to buy the product. I'll ponder upon this and write a more elaborate answer tomorrow. Many thanks for asking! 😄

@josyphilip As social media marketers, we know that brands benefit from being present on (almost) all major social media platforms where their target audiences are. And for consistency and audience building it is such an advantage for a brand to hire just one person/agency to take care of the whole overall strategy and all platforms. I do my best to master all aspects of social media marketing on all major platforms. Maybe it would be easier for me to focus on just one platform, and maybe narrow down my services to just ads or just organic marketing on that specific platform. But I know that I can help my client so much more if I can build, develop, and maintain their branding on all platforms and keep their audience engaged by showing up on all platforms they use.
