The pivot is one of the fundamental footwork you need to know in order to box. There are two types of pivots: short range and mid range. When you train the pivot always aim for better balance.
Before you can experiment and create your own style you need to master the fundamentals so make sure to be disciplined and repeat a thousand times to engraved it in your mind.
