Siddarth you make the point correctly about stop loss, but it doesn’t hit the nail on the head….that’s because the trader cannot assume without basis that risk should be Rs 1000 and reward should be Rs 2000….the basic question is…can I afford to lose Rs 1000 for every trade, and the answer must surely be no…and what is the guarantee that a trader will get a reward of Rs 2000-3000 for every trade…none and if a trader keeps losing Rs 1000 consistently, his account would get blown up rapidly…so the focus should be, how much can a trader afford to lose per trade without feeling the pinch and what is the maximum loss per day….this must be known and realised clearly first, and also how to trail the stop loss to ensure self protection….then the trader will be successful long term….

Question: I've been diligently following 44MA on daily chart (swing) for 3 months. I've taken 20 trades till now, risk per trade of 500rs. Now, I think I should increase my risk per trade to 1000rs or 2000rs, as I will be comfortable enough to take a loss and carry on. How do I transition to higher risk amount per trade? Like what is the number of trades after which someone should jump for higher risk amount per trade? I don't want to be stuck with same old 500rs risk per trade setup.

Be in profit for almost 6 months. After that you can test with more risk for another 6 months. Increase your risk only if you are profitable for longer time duration with that risk.
