Have studied ACIM in a group for years and continue to enjoy Marianne's Livestream events. After all it is not a required course and yet as I read, re-read, practice with others, listen to Marianne or others, I am reminded of how untrained my mortal mind is. The ego's intention is to uphold and confirm beliefs we acquired in childhood and thus leads us to manifest the same painful experiences ​over and over JUST to uphold the awareness of it so that it can continue to protect us from those experiences but I doubt that the ego is out to harm us. If we are vessels of love, how can any aspect of us truly be out to harm oneself. If Satan/ inner child/ ego is an aspect of oneself, why are we teaching each other opposition against one own self? Wouldn't unconditional love embrace the ego with understanding and love? If we have opposition with the ego isn't that putting us at odds with ourselves and not loving ourself fully? I am enjoying this teaching but sharing my revelation about the ego. Love thyself FULLY, deeply and COMPLETELY! ❤
