How to plan a Self Drive Safari in Tanzania

I finally got around to making the promised "How To" Video - Only took me half a year :)
I hope this helps you if you ever want to go on a self drive safari, I know I could have used it.

Wow thanks for the extremely detailed guide! Very helpful :) Currently looking to plan a trip myself. Certainly all a bit more expensive than I expected. We will likely look to do a shorter safari and combine it with some low cost activities, like hiking visiting some local towns.

Very comprehensive and detailed information. Is public camping in Serangeti National Park always available? One doesn't have to worry about non availability of the camping spot inside the park. Thank you.

thanks! yes that was never an issue. first come first serve when choosing a spot in the campsite but for us it was never crowded.

Other way, Sarengeti north or Sarengeti South or Tarangire National Park. Thank you.

If I had 7 days I would probably do: 1 day north (river crossing) 4 days south, 2 days tarangire. Keep in mind the traveltimes to get to and from the national parks

Thanks! Can't remember from memory but it's in the Credits in the video! (It was a bridge camera) edit: I just checked, it was a Sony RX 10 IV (rented). we also used a gopro hero 10 black

l was there. Wild country and bad roads. I don’t recommend this trip.
