We loved the property. The food was great, the villas were both spacious and luxurious, the service was top notch and there were a lot of activities to do right on the island. The resort is also a perfect place to enjoy the marine life right under your villas, thanks to the efforts of the marine biologist on site in preserving and growing corals. Also, the resort is only 45 mins away from the airport, so you wouldn't have to waste a lot of time on transfers. However, if I have to nitpick I'll say that the beach area was a bit small, but it wasn't the worst. I think given the price point the resort provides a lot of value, however, in a larger budget there will be other properties that will tick all the above boxes.

Hi guys, thanks for a nice video. Could you tell the charges for the water activities like snorkel, scuba, canoeing, jet ski, spa etc. Is anything included in the all inclusive package?

Hi Parth, Most of the resorts cover snorkelling and canoe/kayak rentals as part of the all inclusive package, and so did ours. Any advanced activities like scuba diving, motorsports (Jet ski, parasailing, etc.) and spa are not covered. The rates may vary but typically start from 200-250 USD per hour for water based activities. Rates for spa treatments depend on the kind of treatment and duration - and typically start from 150 USD per hour. Some resorts may offer discount coupons (10-20% discount) on these activities when you book.

Thank you! Do they provide any training for snorkelling? Are there specific spots to do it? Also, is there any charge for Kayak and Snorkel and any constraints on the number of times we can use it?

@@MrParthfednadfan Some resorts conduct snorkeling lessons as part of their daily activities. You may want to check with the resort before booking. I think Oblu offers snorkeling lessons in the mornings and also a guided snorkeling tour based on minimum number of nights booked. You can get your snorkeling equipment from the dive centre on day 1 and keep it with yourself for your entire stay. There are many spots for snorkeling and the resort has a very nice house coral reef right in front their main beach area. You can also snorkel around your water villas if you book one. You can experience many different kinds of fish, stingrays, turtles and all sorts of marine life right near the resort. No restrictions on the snorkeling equipment. Complimentary Kayak/Canoe rentals were limited to one hour use per person per day.

Thanks for your comment. We booked through a travel agency called Tourcreators. They are located in Delhi but will be able to help you on WhatsApp wherever you’re located. Travel operators can get you great deals and add-ons which otherwise aren’t available directly through hotel or websites like Expedia/MMT. We were there for four nights/five days. Our stay was split between a beach villa and overwater Honeymoon suite for two nights each.

what were the inclusion in the all inclusive plan

Hi, the all inclusive plan included unlimited food, snacks and a selection of drinks at their main buffet restaurant and three bars. It also included one free meal each in two of their al a carte restaurants. Also included free snorkeling equipment rental for the entire stay and 1 hour of Kayak/canoe/paddle-board rental per day. 45 mins spa for each person was also included. Speedboat transfer to and from airport was included.

When did this trip is planned? And what you suggest for time between July, August?

Hi Shubham, we did this trip in February which is the peak season in Maldives. It is very sunny and beautiful at that time and you consistently get 13-14 hours of sunlight. Perfect weather to enjoy the marine life as well. I wouldn't recommend going in July, August because that's the rainy season. It'll be humid and mostly clouded, so you wouldn't be able to enjoy as much. Try planning between November-April.

How long was your stay? And what was the cost of your all inclusive plan?

We were there for four nights. The all inclusive plan costed us around 6000 CAD (3.5 lacs INR), excluding flights.

Hi Mouli, yes the honeymoon suite can be booked for one night. But since there are only 6 honeymoon suites on site, the availability is quite limited. I suggest reaching out to the resort reservation team directly via email or book through a tour planner. The honeymoon suite would cost you around 2000-2400 USD per night all inclusive during the peak season.

Yes, I think the name on the resort website now is 'Honeymoon Select Ocean Villa'. It is their biggest water villa.
