We homeschool year-round, summer schedule being lighter, starting midAugust. But!!!! We take days off as we need: kids’ competitions, family half-week vacations, rough days, playdates days you name it. But!!! I count attendance (just in case) and we always finish 180 days before the middle of May

Ticking off 15 days per month year-round (5 hours a day) seems like a low-stress, high accountability method for our family. It allows for flexibility but encourages life-long learning as a part of a consistent routine.

I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to make this video! I’m not great at big picture planning, so this has given me a lot to work with and consider! I’ve never thought about the many different scheduling options you laid out beyond the most common ones. I definitely think we could benefit from exploring some of the others you shared! I’m also really hoping to get to step 3 this year. I love how much you’ve woven into your content areas and hope to find ways to do the same! 💛

It's been a game changer for me! It really helps me to tie lessons and units across subjects and curricula together more cohesively
