Nice transition from your exotic garden to your tree fern court yard. I do agree, tree ferns are very addictive, I just brought a triple crowned one.

Hi John. We had two from the palm company and they've been excellent. Hope your planting up goes well. Mark

@@MarksHouseandGardenUK I have two mates coming around on Saturday to move it from the front of my house to the rear, already prepared the ground and a wooden stake. Bought a brown seat belt material to secure it..

Hi Mark, I we recently had a heavy overnight snowfall and some of my leafs below the top leaves bent on my tall palm So the top and botton leaves are good, but the middle leave are folded down. I waited to see if they would straighten up. But this did not happen and there are brown fold marks under the leaves. Should I cut the leave off. If I do the middle of the palm will look strange… with no leaves. Or should I leave them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was at Nobridge today eyeing up a new tree fern, Dave’s a font of knowledge. Had the last one from there and it’s thriving. Looking to get a 6 ft’er but I’m second thinking whether the spot I want it is too exposed. Not sure I want to risk that much cash.

I know what you mean. It's quite an investment. If I'm honest my other half has coughed up for most of ours.

Hi Dave, how often do you water your fern in summer when weather is 25c-35c with maybe rainfall once a week? Was thinking I should mist every few days? My dwarf dicksonia lost all stems 2m ago, grew 1 which is now looking dry. Another is popping out slowly.

Hi Mia. It's Mark. Every day in summer. Sometimes twice a day. The crown and the trunk too. Mark

where in Australia gets to minus 15 I live in Victoria I've never seen that cold

Fair point. I think what i was meaning to say is that they can survive - 10 to - 15 generally, whether it be here (UK) or Australia. Sometimes when I'm chatting and 'doing' I occasionally misspeak. Hello to Victoria!

You give water ro them in the winter time?
@MarksHouseandGardenUK Жыл бұрын
I don't. I let the rain permeate through. But i don't allow it to dry out either.
