A short video demonstrating how to easily plant bare root trees by Faulkner County Extension Agent - Krista Quinn.
Bare-root plants are grown in a field, harvested in the fall by removing all of the field soil, graded, stored in large refrigerated rooms, and then shipped in very early spring. The most common bare-root plants sold in Arkansas are roses and fruit trees. Other bare-root plants include fruit plants like strawberries, herbaceous perennials, and some ground covers.
