Of all genres I like blues the best. To slide, mute, 3 or 4 finger pick to produce the sounds that make you think of where they originated. Cool

Thank you. Some cool stuff here that I am learning Just one comment if you don’t mind. I think the lesson would’ve been more effective if you had played the whole tune through at the beginning, rather than teaching us the parts first. But I was able to get it starting at the end. So thank you for that. Very clearly presented.

Great groove and sound. I can never get a metal slide to sound that good to my ears. Although, I have one that fits my pinky perfectly. I usually roll with a ceramic slide on my ring finger.

This is my first real attempt at slide on my pinky. Got this one yesterday. I usually play with the Keb Mo Mudslide ceramic on my ring but wanted to shake things up on this little guitar. I'm diggin the feel and sound but I do love the mudslide too.

What type of strings do you recommend using on an acoustic guitar when playing with a slide? Love your instructional videos. You explain everything exceptionally well.
@BluesGuitarInstitute
@BluesGuitarInstitute 11 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! I play my acoustics without a slide most of the time and tend to use D'Addario EJ16s. But I keep the John Pearse 790NR on my resonator guitars and I really like those for slide.

@@BluesGuitarInstitute I have a Recording King Swamp Dog VG resonator but because of the weight of this resonator it’s hard to practice for long periods of time without my back getting stiff and sore. I am setting up my Martin acoustic guitar for slide mainly for practice. Do you recommend the D’Addario strings for this? Thanks again…..
@BluesGuitarInstitute
@BluesGuitarInstitute 11 ай бұрын
@@MartinD35Guy Understand completely about the Swamp Dog. My Honey Dipper is seriously heavy. I think the D'Addario's will sound just fine on there but I like them in general. Not sure if you've used them before. if you have a go-to set that you like, maybe stick with them.

Chix pick from 5-3 on 3-1 string then back from 3 fret on 2-1 chix pick? Is this correct? Have been pulln hair out tryin to figure it out. Normally id do my own variation buut it sounds so dam awesome i wanna get it. So clarification would be greatly appreciated! Viva la jerry garcia
