This is one of the reasons why I love Mr.Robert Glasper!!! A longtime ago when he was fairly a new artist breaking a drummer told me that I write like him!!! I said who was he? The next day he gave me a CD I popped it in and was like we do sound a like he just knows how to solo and go left over his chords!!! More of these please 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥

My broooo you are one of the most versatile players in the ATL... the fact that you can do the church stuff, jazz stuff, rnb, neo soul...etc... then able to do cover tunes exactly like the records is why you're at the top!!! Love you my bro!!!

KC is the only musician I know that can turn a Nursery Rhyme into a Dopamine Chime! He takes the simple and adds “a side” of complexity. Like at 2:21 where he sings 1 syllable of amazing and follows it up with 3 chords (that actually sounds like they are saying amazing!!!) then he moves to the next syllable following it up with 6 chords (that sound like they are saying amazing twice!!!) I’m sure that was all coincidental but that’s “amazing”! This guy “uses the simple to confound the wise”! 😂😂😂

Hi KC! I've been viewing your contents for awhile now. I'd like to purchase some bundles you have! But not sure which ones to get! I'm an ex-classical pianist who studied music for varsity but now a pastor writing songs for the church. Though I write songs on various chords, I want to start adding some of those neo-soul stuffs! AND play them improvised as good as you! Please let me know which bundles to get and I will get 'em!
@prettysimplemusic2 жыл бұрын
Hey there Pastor Kwon!!! I really appreciate the love and support... Most Neo Soul chords are derived from gospel chords, so I agree using them in a gospel setting is ultimately sending them BACK to the original place they were created and used... We have an All-Access plan that's new - it'll allow you to go through and learn from our entire library...
