Thanks, Paul ... great stuff. Too bad for me that your video series came out after I learned the game, but having been away from it for over a year, this is a great refresher!

Another video, which should be considered as role model of 'How to Play' videos! It will be immensely helpful during my upcoming playthrough of ATO. Thank you, Paul!

Thank you. I hope it goes ok.

Watching to refresh my memory. Ive only beaten cycle 1 and hear it's the tutorial for cycles 2 and 3. Having Paul's sweet videos to hammer home how everything works is extremely useful. I can not wait to get in to this with my friends.

Expecting to receive my 2nd printing pledge in the next coming weeks and have been studying your videos like lectures for an exam lol

Once you start playing everything will start to stick. Might want to play a few rounds solo to complete the gameplay loop. Same with the battle portion. That way your friends aren't sitting there as much with you thumbing through the rulebook. No matter what that's likely to happen anyway. It would be even better if one of the group came with so you're not the only one answering questions come game day. Just my opinion tho... good luck l!😊

Fantastic videos! I think in 10:31 also the step 10 is not done. If you full miss you clear the kratos pool but you don't add kratos tokens in the second ability window.
@GamingRulesVideos2 ай бұрын
Yes. Correct. Apologies for that. I meant to say you also skip step 10

Oh no need for apologies! I made that mistake that’s why I remember well 😅These videos are very well explained and produced! This game is hard in rules and you do it awesome.

Ill be watching all of these multiple times! Will you be doing a play through later? Or any one off battles?

I think if these videos would have gone live back in April, when I still knew the game well, then yes, probably. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable now doing a playthrough as its been too long and I'm not 100% on the rules.

at 15:50, you specify that the battle ends ''immediately'' when a primordial dies. Quick question for you on that regard : I was playing the tutorial battle against Hekaton, and i drew the Major Trauma card ''Heroic Death'', which reads as the following : ''You die, but you won't sell your life cheap! Immediately stand up, move up to 3 spaces and perform a Bonus Attack! Then, shuffle this card back into the Trauma deck and die.'' The thing is, that Bonus Attack was successful, and it inflicted the last wound needed to kill Hekaton. Does my Titan still die from the Trauma Card, even after slaying the primordial? Thank you in advance!

The Titan will survive.

Having trouble understanding what happens when titan dies in battle . Do you lose all gear and mneose cards as well or literally just the titan?
@GamingRulesVideosАй бұрын
It's important to understand the difference between a Titan and your Argonaut. The Argonaut is the one with the Mnemos cards. The gear is carried by the titan, but you don't lose it if the Titan dies. It is returned to the Armory.

Does a weapon get exhaust if its declared for attacking and defending no matter what, or only if it has a exaust symbol that was activated.
@GamingRulesVideos2 ай бұрын
Check 22:13 timestamp. The only times weapons exhaust is the cumbersome keyword.

The rush ability with a reach weapon makes no sense for me on your explanation. If a weapon has reach it can attack when adjacent, so why wouldn't it be possible to rush on your example? 8:30
@GamingRulesVideos2 ай бұрын
My explanation was clear (I think) - I know it is a bit weird, but those are the rules for Rush. You MUST stop moving once you are within reach, and in my example, you have only moved 2 spaces. You are welcome to house rule it though if you don't like it :)
@LavosONE2 ай бұрын
@@GamingRulesVideos Yes it was perfectly clear, and my comment wasn't a critic on your explanation. It just makes no sense to me that reach weapons, being able to attack while adjacent, need to attack at the outer range of it for the rush ability. And also I didn't find that rule on the rulebook. So maybe I overlooked something. But yeah, definitely house rulling that as it makes no sense to me. Thanks!

There are a few rules across my five videos which are not in the rulebook :) When working on the scripts, I came across a lot of areas of ambiguity and worked very closely with the lead developers on the game to ensure that the video was correct - even if it isn't what is in the rulebook :)

I feel like this should have been worded better. I can see why you said during an obol draw, bc you are doing it while drawing from the obol deck. Maybe say "your chance of survival during an awakening from the trauma deck that reads obol, is higher" kzbin.infoUgkxaQpGB_bW1RgFdadVRui3F8cmYsNpIpi5?si=Mu4NsYc4ddtRjQhH
