This song is very achievable! I started piano in November and have learnt the original full song with the full octave left hand repetition! Learning this song really gives you motivation and confidence in continuing your piano journey, and it just sounds amazing really!

@@PianoteOfficial I have been self learning to play by ear for nearly 2 years now and have spent at least a couple of hrs every single day for this 2 year period and still I consider myself a beginner or possibly early intermediate level. Not very encouraging I must admit and can be mentally draining and demoralising when after 2 years of hard practice 2-3 hours every single day without fail I find I am still stuck at beginner or early intermediate at best. I know this after watching pro pianists like yourself play on youtube that my level is still so far off from intermediate/advanced. I still haven't proper hand and finger movement control over the keyboard and I get really frustrated at times that 2 years of hard practice still hasn't returned the results I expected. I believe most people who spend 2-3 hours every day on the piano for a coupe of years reach at least intermediate but not me. I guess I may have learning difficulties that's why its taking me so long. However I came across your channel and I like your videos very much. You explain things in a pretty simple way.

Thank you so much for the piano lessons! As a 30-year-old beginner, I’m thrilled to share that after just one month, I’ve learned the whole song! I still need to work on my rhythm, especially toward the end, but I’m getting there. Your simplified left-hand version has been a game-changer for me-it made learning so much easier and more enjoyable. Once I feel comfortable with it, I’d love to take on the full left-hand version .Thanks again for your guidance and support!

This was a dream of mine to play this song and with Lisa’s help and this easier version of it, I learned this in about 1 week! And now after 1 month, I can play it really well. The left hand in the original is tough to play for me and so this version made it so much better and sounds very close to the original. Thank you Lisa!!! Best piano teacher on the internet

Amelie just stole my heart. I have never been so enchanted and taken away before by cinematography and a story. The music is just so beautiful and it echo's what Amelie and Nino were feeling. Every frame of the movie could be turned into a print and hung on the wall. Sometimes the movie became momentarily self aware and each character has some oddball quirk that I loved, also the cliché's worked perfectly where as they would fail miserably in any other film. Amelie is my favorite film for sure. I am just starting out on piano however I have played guitar for a long time so I have a lot of theory already down which helps a great deal.

I love this song and the movie is fabulous as well. I had organ classes from my 6 to 12 years old and another 1 year of piano. I was feeling tired of music classes back then, as I wanted to do other things, but now I know what I should kept going to piano classes. As a teenager and young adult I had a lot of fun creating music via MIDI, and I learned a lot. I kept practicing over the years but not that frequently. Now at 41 I feel the need to learn the piano as I should have done it before. My left hand only knows how to play chords and not a lot more. But this song brings me courage to learn the piano! It is very achievable with some practice and sounds amazing. I will buy a new keyboard with 88 weighted keys very soon whilst still giving me the possibility to create music and have fun with other sounds as well. I'm ready to continue my journey, now more focused on the piano technique and I will see if I can make this left hand to play well like the right one haha. You are such a wonderful teacher. I'll be watching this channel for more! Thank you!

One of the most beautiful pieces ever written in my opinion. I'm a composer, and I am trying to get better at piano to be able to improvise a bit to help me during composing. I think I am going to learn to play this piece for the fun of it (after all, it is one of my favorites), but also just to get a little better at playing piano. Thanks for the great lesson!!! BTW, I am also a classical guitarist. I did an arrangement of this for guitar, but it's just not the same. It just sounds more at home on piano.

And then.. suddenly.. at one day it worked itself like a charm.. just one with a half months later :)) and also suddenly, trying to remember all those notes, I got that starting from the second part notes are actually always equal for left and right hand. That helped a lot.
