It's difficult, I was CB and played a half as CM and although I have good stamina and ran box to box covering a lot of ground and covering the space , the game seemed to pass me by and I wasn't getting much of the ball. Also the transition from marking running midfielders from the opposition when we didn't have the ball to making forward runs when we won the ball back was difficult. Hope this didn't put you off, just telling my experience, hopefully I can get better.

5:45 what do you mean by not blocking the passing lanes?i thought a cdm's role was a balance between marking space/blocking passing lanes and knowing when to step in and disrupt?or do you mean setting a trap by seemingly leaving your man with space and timing your challenge when the ball is played into him?
