I always assumed this game would be extremely complex, and I was too intimidated to look into how to play it. Now, after watching this video, I was surprised that Azul, while not as easy as Checkers, still has rules that are graspable enough to not be overwhelmed by them. I really want to play it now!

00:32 this is actually wrong, its 5, 7 or 9 factory tiles for 2, 3 or 4 players respectively, not 5, 6 or 7. Basically, the number of factory tiles is 2 x Number of players +1.

My wife and I bought this game and forgot about it. A couple weeks later, we pulled it out and decided to play with her family. We started reading the rules, got confused and decided to watch this video. We watched this video, and then immediately wished we had purchased another game. Once you get the hang of it, things move pretty fast and it’s ok, but I absolutely HATE the scoring of this game.

How can there be a player with multiple horizontal lines filled when the game stops after someone completes a horizontal line as you said?

I would imagine it would be during the last round, and a player has multiple filled rows with just one empty space left

If you happen to have more than 1 row with 4 complete colors, and can complete them at once on that round. But that's also why complete row only gives 2 bonus points, which encourages players to complete vertical columns (7 bonus each) instead.
