Tarik and ethan have incredible synergy on this map in particular. They consistently applu pressure on banana rarely ever dying and they know when they need to give it up and set up in site. And they almost always react instantly boosting tarik flower pot and ethan wraps around and hides in site. Perfect duo.

good video! would you mind explain in some of the scenarios why stanislaw/the support doesn't throw the one-way smoke and the B players have to smoke the car molly from top banana? it would make sense for stan to smoke it imo since the flash lineup he throws is relatively close to the car one-way. the car one-way also allows them to peek from half wall, and once banana control is taken, both B players still have a smoke.

This is a great question. The main reason why they don't throw it during this 3B take is because sometimes the Ts throw a shallow molotov that lands a bit closer to half-wall. The car smoke will not always extinguish that molotov, as that molotov is usually thrown on the run and can vary a little bit in where it lands. Since it's important for the CTs to be able to push past half-wall with the flash, getting the second player to throw the smoke directly at the molotov removes that possibility that the molotov doesn't get extinguished by the car smoke.

Another banger video. Just a slight tip, for banana specifically, you might wanna title the video something like Holding Banana on Inferno CT from Evil Geniuses. Just because banana is tricky in that basically everything done to hold banana is coordinated between 2-3 CT's, so covering both CT players roles might make the video make more sense. I know you showed what Ethan's teammate did to support, but it may make more sense to look at it as an overview of how 2 people hold banana vs how ethan holds banana. (this comment is just to give you a very general suggestion, obviously this style video is pretty similar :D and hopefully I made sense explaining my thoughts)

You make a great point. I think I wanted to keep the theme of focusing more on just one player as opposed to the pair (or trio during 3B setups) as it helps the viewer understand the POV of at least one of the players very deeply, in the event that someone watches this video and wants to apply these concepts in a pug environment. what is your opinion on the classic astralis take? deep smoke, double molotov 1 player sandbags, 1 yellow wall with a flash sandbags player jump peeks banana etc.?

I think the Astralis take is great, there's nothing wrong with still doing it this way. However as I mentioned in the video, it's important to also keep in mind how the Ts are contesting banana. You don't need to throw all the nades if the Ts have shown that they're completely giving it up, because then you can save your utility for later in the round.

@@mahone_tv thanks for your reply, yeah we are playing variations if its not working, but the most annoying part for us is, if we dont hear footsteps on a rush from sandbags. we dont know if its a bug if there are too many mollies thrown or extinguished, but sometimes they are standing in the face of the yellow wall player before we hear them run.

@@Ket0cs you may want to do a more passive setup if you find that you're getting caught off guard like that, typically you'll want to take banana control if you know that they only default with 1 or 2 people. if it's the entire team rushing you, it's not the best setup to use as it's better to play further back closer to the site and use your utility appropriately to stop them

Yeah it's a different approach, it allows for more flexibility to allow them to play more aggressively. It has its pros and cons, but it's all down to what you want to be able to do in your banana control!

why do they sometimes throw a molly car for a peek then they sometimes don’t?

Usually that molotov is used in a mid-round scenario, where the Ts already have control of that car/half wall area. The molotov is important here because it's used to isolate a player who's already at the car by pushing the player holding from the half-wall angle away. The molotov is used before the flash in this scenario. The molotov is not always thrown when it's early round because they want the Ts to push up to car so they can counter with their flash. The timing of the flash to counter the first T to come up is more important than throwing the molotov. If they throw that molotov before the flash in this scenario, they're giving the Ts time to react. The most important part about using this counter is to not give time for the Ts to react to this counter. Hope this explains it better!
