Worth mentioning that chain throws have build in mix-up. Its ont only 2 break, its actually 1 break as well depends on Armor Kings input (cd 1+4 or 2+3) so mix-up dangerous than you think.

Thing is, his throw mixup is good since it's ambiguous. I think u have to guess if the person is applying the mixup he showed early one on. His main weekness is tracking. If he had a rly good tracking move, his main weekness would be his ws punishment. I think overall, hard grinding with armor king can cover most of his weaknesses. Rage drive is kinda meh though

They are somewhat similar but IME Armor King players are way more defensive. Not relying on big 50/50's anywhere as much. Because AK has better pokes but not the crazy big moves that Kazuya has. Kazuya's oki is also way more annoying and unga-bunga (not saying it's easy to do all the really good moves kaz has, but they have great properties for what they are). Kazuya is not a poking character (even if kazuya players use EWGF like it was a poke) in comparison. Meanwhile armor king has great basic pokes, it's just he has to be more careful than a lot of other poking-oriented characters in continuously throwing them out.

Honestly at that level, just pace and space. Keep distance and let them hang themselves, they do running grabs be ready with a 1+2 break. Low parry the spam. King is very well rounded, low levels he can be a great scrub killer, high level he can have crazy setups and solid pokes and of course, absurd mixups due to grabs

However I do agree that labbing dlc characters is a problem in general (ofcourse), but even in that I think there are even more problematic chracters such as ganryu and zafina that are crazy obnoxious that require more labbing than armor king.

Idk what you mean by "too well" but yes he's a complete character (other than lacking a ws 13 punisher) i agree. He is a good character, is he OP? no and I think both of us can agree on that. And being a DLC character is an issue with bamco's business policy not balance or an advantage, bamco could leave Leroy as broken as he is today on release, but if he were lab-able without purchasing it, Leroy would still be regarded as Broken even if he was lab-able.

@@Alpdude If you set the computer to do GS or iSW in practice mode you won’t see a difference. However, humans don’t work like that. SW and GS are both telegraphed unless you use macros. Let me explain what I mean: If you come from a running stance, SW will come out smoothly but with GS you will stop for a brief moment before executing the throw. Or if you do the throws after a 1,2 jab string for example, GS will come out immediately while with iSW you will come a few steps forward. It’s not easy to distinguish between these 2 throws but they are not a true mixup if you practiced breaking them properly. But honestly you won’t find a lot of players who know what I just explained above.

Heihachi pre s3 needed do cc ewgf after a high whiff or a blocked sweep if he wanted to lauch. Tmm showed cc dark upper to show its possible and how whiff punishment works with ak (and to show off a bit cause masku), in this situation hopkick or ws1 work fine. But is important to note that dark upper gives a better combo than the previous two (80 damage with no walls if you can do the bigboy cd1 combo)

i think in general you can apply mix ups when it's "your turn". Like guy below said, after a knockdown, after 2,1 (gives +7), after block punishing, or if he "respects" you (you wavedash empty and he does nothing). Or when you need to do a comeback, when you're low on health and you have to take risks to win, that's also a good (albeit predictable) time to use mixups.

You poke and whiff punish your opponents until they start hesitating. Wavedash block > they whiff > whiff punish. When they start being scared to press you can utilize your wd mixup. But in general his wd is riskier than normal mishimas because you have to get really close to your opponent compared to a hellsweep.
