Hey! This really helped me I haven’t hopped on my kit yet but I know this will help me a lot! I’m doing a rock and pop night at school and my friends want to do some songs and I’m struggling to learn them, if you don’t mind could you try do Radio Ga Ga or maybe Bohemian Rhapsody? That would really help me so much!

got a new drum kit for xmas - neighbours complained already (its' electrtical, but my bass drum appears to create earthquakes) so I'm learning...quietly

Perhaps put a towel/ foam around the bass pad... This might soften the blow... Keep up the work... Neighbors complaining is always a good sign you are on the right track...

i think porcaro also plays the bass drum on beat 4 in the second bar.

Yeah perhaps he does... The beat I show here is what is played I think for the majority of the song... Its very possible/ likely that the variation used is with the bass drum on the 4 in the 2nd bar...

New drummer, learning with a teacher and I'm disabled. So how do you play this without being able to use your feet for bass and hi hat?

Hi there fellow drummer... So glad to have you with us... I think you could try the following ideas... 1: Have the high hat closed, so it never actually opens... 2: Use the floor tom as a bass drum, and play it with your hand instead... There is a drummer called Daniel Potts. You can find him on youtube... Trust me, you will be inspired... Also, Rick Allen, the famous 1 arm drummer from Def Leppard, uses electronic drums and triggers to create sounds... Thus, if you were to use his concept, you might have an electronic pad that plays the bass drum sound... If you have any further questions, Im more than happy to help... Dave
