Piano for the Singer Songwriter Producer Playlist:
• For the Singer Songwri...
In this video, I teach you how to play Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish! Learn how to play the infamous riff going on throughout the song as well as how to play it like a singer songwriter, using chords, octaves and a very common eighth note groove applicable to virtually ALL pop songs in 4/4 time signature! The concepts I go over in this video are NOT just for this one song. You can take these tricks and keep it in your tool kit for ALL modern songs from here on out!
Remember, knowing what key signature you are in is very important if you want your hard work to pay off one day in building a solid foundation of music theory. This song is in the key of D Major and only uses FOUR chords!
Start out by singing with whole notes and chords on your right hand. Then add the left hand (one note or an octave). Then implement the singer songwriter eighth note groove and the riff.
Have fun and good luck!
Love, Keira
