Every time I decide to head to KZbin to look up a somewhat obscure guitar tutorial to make my life easier, your lessons pop up. It’s like you’re in my head! Thanks for all of your effort with this channel!!

Rundgren is the master of the moving bass. Sophisticated pop jazz with awesome lyrics and melody. So ahead of his time, whilst harking back to a musical past. Great chords. Love his back catalogue so much. Catch him with Daryl Hall, two Philadelphia soul boys at the top of their game.

I love how you have applied this to the guitar, it sounds really natural making me try to remember if it was guitar in that song originally. I saw the demo first.

So glad you did this one - it is one of the best songs of the 70's and your lesson and demo are excellent as always. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill with us.

Thank you for this...as a big Todd fan I would love for you to do more songs by him and also Utopia...crazy lady blue would be great...fantastic guitar solo. Initiation is probably my fav album of his and hermit has him at his peak. Way under rated as a guitarist.

Your chords are always spot-on. Would you take requests for tutorials? Would love to see a video lesson on Blue Sky or Melissa by the Allman Bros, or Heard it in a Love Song, or Can't You See by the Marshall Tucker Band. Or Eyes Without a Face by Billy Idol or a nice 80's song called Hands to Heaven by Breathe. You're the best guitar tutorial uploader I've seen on here, cheers.

Great voicings. Wanted to play this song but couldn't get the harmonies sounding right. Props. Subscribed 👌 Edit: Many great emotional parts of solos are on one string. The main line of Still got the blues is mostly one string and it sounds awesome. Like this, a siren's voice..

First off enjoy your lessons,thorough and accurate.You position the guitar on your left leg,I've been playing a while and have never tried that, what's the advantage for it or is it more comfort?
@ShutupAndPlayGuitarTutorials5 жыл бұрын
It's actually not comfortable at all and is hard on the back! The reason I do it is because I think it looks better in the frame. Cheers, Andy.

TR is one of my faves, Thanks for this so much. On a side note, would love to ask you to do a lesson for a total under-rated musician -Bob Welch. Not Sentimental Lady as that has been done, but maybe Precious Love (great riff) or his song with Fleetwood Mac Hypnotized! Both incredible songs. (Much prefer Precious Love). Keep up the great work.

Andy- Once again, you blow me away! I've always loved this song - and in all the years, lessons, tutorial, I've never seen ANYONE take this song, written for Piano, take it apart, come up with a chord arrangement on guitar that sounds beautiful, and then teach it!...I know you're not big on tabs- and I always try to follow and listen, to see where your fingers are on the chords, but sometimes it's hard to see or hear which ones are muted, or open. So, I wanted to ask- Is it possible you have just the "chord shapes" written down anywhere? If not, it's Ok, you do a Great Service, to all guitar players, who watch your videos! And one OTHER question- How did you get that incredible "thin" sound on your Les Paul- sounds like a little analog chorus or something- but not the same chorus sound on your "Purple Rain" lesson (ANOTHER incredible job, an EXACT re-playing of the part, the only one on the 'net, that I've found! By the way, you're a great teacher, in addition to being an incredible player-
