As one of the young commenters mentioned, many young people don't understand the meaning within in a song (Changed). But in time, one day, they will understand a meaning that is personal for them. I would like to see additional tutorials on hymns in addition to the great work you already do.

It's on Love Alive 1. That's not her recording in may of 19900, Walter allowed her to include part of that song in a medley. I played bass on that recording and many others with that family. It's Walters tune. Edwin , Lynette, and Walter were original trio background vocals. The last time they did it the original way was at a concert in 2009 in Virginia. I played bass that night too with Jamie on keys. Great family to work with. That song brought Tramaine out to the world But its Walters

Thank you for your message, and yes I am aware of the actual author of the song. However, its performed by Tramaine and its on her album, which is how I list the songs. tj

I am 26 years old and growing up in the baptist church this song always had everybody shouting all over the church. i didnt understand then but now i know what she is saying when she saids CHANGE. Im a Organist and i play this song for doors of the church is open my pastor which is my age always ask what song is this and i always tell him just listen to the people sang and you will find out. This song is not Forgotten.

Thanx for the info, that was helpful, as I've only seen it on her album. I will add his name to the description, but still leaving hers in the title. What you've shared, while correct, is still a little known fact that most people searching for the song won't know. They know she sings it, so will try to find it with her name. That is so the truth! Not only are older songs and artists disappearing from our culture, but just basic gospel hymns in general!!! They've been replaced with Praise & Worship songs in most younger churches. Some younger cats haven't heard "Blessed Assurance" or "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross", the music that I listened to at church as a child...its very sad!! Its time for a revolution!!!!

@zestymike48 - one suggestion is to get Donnie McClurkin's recent CD "Songs, Hymns & Spiritual Songs"...This CD features many of the classic hymns to modern melodies..... If you can play it when you have a group of younbg people around I am sure that they will really enjoy it thanks

Please correct. Changed is by Walter Hawkins not Tramaine. He had her lead the song He wrote it at age 16
