I'm 30 I just started. I suggest you learn reading as well. I was waiting for my piano to arrive and just learned reading from pianote and a few more KZbin channels, practiced a bit in an app. And was able to play "happy birthday song" just by looking at the notes! Haven't felt this happy in years haha. Being able to play a song feel so different. Good luck to you!! ❤️

Depending on your hands, it can be tough. Instead of doing octaves, you can do a root and a fifth. I had a teacher once who could do tenths and elevenths. A tall guy with massive hands.

I've been trying to play for 10 years!!!! And I still SUCK! I think some people were just gifted with music ability as it seem to come naturally to them. I'm a pilot and flying comes naturally to me but music is THE HARDEST IN MY LIFE!!!!! I get very frustrated 😤
