Hey Euge! Awesome tutorial as always. I just wanted to ask you guys if you use baritone guitars or regular guitars for tuning down all the way to C standard or dropped A#. On my Les Paul Standard, the strings get really slacky and twangy even though I use relatively thicker strings. And also what gauge of strings is the most appropriate for this kind of tuning? Thanks and can't wait for the upcoming album!
@EugeValovirta230V6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Regular 24.75 scale guitars for both tunings. Our tunings are actually C standard and drop-A (B standard with the low E-string dropped to A) so two totally different tunings. I use DR 12-60 for C standard and DR 13-65 for drop-A and they work really well and aren't slacky. I've also used seven string guitars for the drop - A tunings and used the 13-65 with and added 0.10 high E - string but the normal Les Paul 24.75 scale works just fine too. Jesper uses Elixir 12-68 strings for both tunings.

Wow! That's a lot to take in. Thank you so much. I guess I'll have to switch to the even thicker 12-60's then. Rip my fingers for the first week or so xD Thanks again so much for taking the time :D

Euge Valovirta, Hello, i love Letters to Myself, maybe if it had powerful guitars as when Jesper played with In Flames would be much better, nevertheless i hope a new album with awesome riffs and solos, the singer's voice is just flawless, if you don't mind, would you be so kind as to tell me when the new album will be released, please? I mean, which month please. Thanks for creating good music!
@EugeValovirta230V6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad to hear that! The new album will be more riff oriented with powerful guitars ;-) No idea about the release date / month yet since the mixing isn't done and there's much to do regarding planning everything with our label etc. The date will most likely to be announced early 2019.

Euge Valovirta thanks so much! I'm gonna buy the next album as i did with the first one. Jesper Stömblad is one of my favourite guitar players, and you too. Best wishes to the band!
