How to Play D&D Online Using 2D Maps

Until I can afford some DungeonForge, or have the spare time to make some terrain on my own, our games have been all on 2D maps. That being said, I've taken the concepts from both this video and the one from the 3D terrain video to have a hybrid of both on our game nights. The player love that some of the terrain pops up, and really enjoy when I move the camera arm in close for up close battle cam, but I still have the freedom to draw/change maps on the fly with the wet-erase dungeon board I have.

can you just have the player names on screen with an image or something and no video feed? the face cam thing is pointless for what I intend to do with this. and am curious if it might improve the video quality if the software isn't also running 5 webcams.

You are able to turn off player videos (so they will show a black box) but currently the system doesn't support not using player videos at all. We plan to support that in the future.
