One version of the game. Other version I know, is where player scores points if dots on ends can be divided by 5 and/or 3. 15 wil give a total of 8 (highest). Double-dot bones on end - both dots e.g. 6+6+3 are counted. in this case player will score 8 (15/3=5 and 15/5=3). If no further play is possible (no matching tiles on either end) last person to play, wins points by adding remaining dots of opponents divided by 3) to his/her score.

@1:54 Is there a reason this domino was played sideways? Does it matter? What happens if you physically run into another part of the domino "wall"?

Usually you not suppose to play it sideways unless the dominoe has the same amount of dots on each side then you should put the dominoe sideways on the table like this for example, -

On the first hand, how do you determine who has the highest double, do you just ask?. Also, when the first hand is over, to start the subsequent hands,can any domino be played, not necessarily a double?

You can also make it like you deal out all dominoes to everyone as evenly as possible.

So if you run out of dominos you automatically win the whole game or just that round if just the round how many points is that?

if you have no more dominoes you win and add up the pips that the other players have left and thats your points you earn.

Dominos was the best. Me and dad spent so many hours playing this. I hated when he caught me with the double blank in my hand. How my family plays if your caught with the double blank in your hand you lost 50 points.

Can someone help me with a question, if it has been blocked off and there are remaining tiles in the boneyard but no one can go, do you still have to pick up from the boneyard even though there are no tiles that can go? If so can someone show me that rule where even though its blocked off you have to pick up the tiles 😐 hope it makes sense

You talking about draw dominoes, draw dominoes and block dominoes are 2 different ways of playing the game

This is the only way to play "Block". Block is just one type of game. Most people play "Muggins", also known as "Fives", "Bones", etc. That's when there's a spinner (first double played), only score off multiples of 5, etc.

@@DieselDog1982 I had a game I played with my family once in which I had the option to play a 3/5 on either tail of the game. On my hand was also a 0/1 and a 1/2 . By counting the field, i noticed all the other 3's have been played and the double 0 was also out there. I had the option to close the game, but it was risky since my dad had only one piece left, and it could've been the 1/1. Luckily, I remembered that he passed prior when there was an option of 1 or 4, so I knew it was safe to close. I did so and won with the least amount of pins. :)
