Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I only have one grandparent left myself. It's so important to take advantage of the time we have with the people important to us. Have fun playing bones with your 5 year old, starting them young makes them GREAT players in the future.

There was just no more opportunities to score with the dominoes that were played. Scoring always keeps going until the agreed upon score is reached which in most games is 150 points.

At 6:54 minutes you put down double 3 but no score occurred. How come? I think it has something to do with things adding up to 5. (??) Also, you never explain why the scoring line went angular. I gathered that is equal to five, but why not a vertical line? Thanks for the instruction.
@playingbones23 күн бұрын
@@jonathankerner2094 just went to your time stamp and the board count is 18 at that point. Scoring only happens in multiples of 5. 5,10,15,20,25,30

Hopefully you can answer this, do you play off any other spinners besides the first? Been re learning with my mom and we never played off the double spinners in the beginnin, only the first spinner after that. If you could elaborate that would be helpful!!
@playingbones Жыл бұрын
I absolutely can answer that. Nope you do NOT play on any spinner except for the first one that is played. Doesn't matter if the spinner is played as the first domino or if it's played later. The first double played is the only one that can be played off of. Lmk if you have any other questions 🙂

When do I not give my opponent any points of what I have left in my hand? Double blank And blank ace and blank two right?
@playingbones Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! If you have double blank, ace blank, and blank deuce in your hand you'd round that up to 5 and give your opponent 5 points. Anything less than 3 total points you give them nadda. Hope this helps
@MarkkysLife5 ай бұрын
Let's say I create another "spinner" (i know it's not the spinner. Just the sideways domino play when you have a double). Do I uave to play it sideways. Or can I play it for just one of the sides. Like let's say late game there's a three. And I have a double 3. Do I have to place it in a way that makes that double 3 a 6. Then add the rest of the total. Or can I ay that double 3 in a way that it only counts as 3?
@playingbones5 ай бұрын
GREAT QUESTION, you always play it like a double because that domino is worth 6 not 3. For example if there is a 4 up on one side of the board and you played it like a 3 the board count would be 7 but when you lay it side ways the board count is 10. Always lay doubles sideways

Sometimes you count the doubles, other tines you don't?
@unik044 Жыл бұрын
Hello! When the game starts with double 6, why did you then play 6/2?
@playingbones Жыл бұрын
Good question! @2:59 in the video 6/2 was played because the 2/3 was in the same hand. Thinking a few plays ahead the player knows that if they played 6/2 on the 6/6 the other player doesn't have 2/3 that would score them 15 points. And to take it a little further 6/0 wouldn't get played because that is a honey bone and 6/5 wouldn't get played because its a honey bone, so the best play in my opinion is the 6/2. Hope this answers your questions! Keep PLAYING BONES!!!!

At 7:29 why can’t the player 3 play the 3:2 at the doble 3?
@playingbones Жыл бұрын
Because that double 3/3 isn't the spinner the only double sided domino that can be played on is the the very first one that is played. In this case the 6/6 or double six was the first double played in this hand.
