oh SEE, I thought you needed a meeple (or token) for the WHO, and they move around the board as well. Instructions were not clear, we were playing FOREVER last night and the Grinch WRECKED us with his score. This video makes it much more clear. "Whos do not move around the board! They stay at home, assess the situation once the Grinch has done his damage, and coordinate accordingly". Thanks.

Just bought this game and the directions inside the box make so sense at all. It totally ignored the directions for the "whos" turn and how the "whos" can get presents. Thankfully, this video did a better job at explaining. Was planning to play on Christmas with a group of kids but kids hate waiting. Will probably make one person the Grinch instead of having everyone play as the Grinch and as a who.

Definitely needs better instructions. It doesn't really tell you how to take your turn after you've played as the Grinch first. Since each player plays as the Grinch first, the game seems a bit lopsided. This game needs "Who" figurines that go around the board in addition to the "Grinch" figurine.

On your turn, you can choose any present from the A, B, or C space, or draw one from the bag, and just put it in your house. You don't have a mover and you aren't "on the board". Only the Grinch moves around the board.

Who else is here on Christmas eve because the instructions are... Something. I don't even know if there is a word for how useless the manual is. No idea how to play the game that my kids were so excited for. Had to play the video more than once but it finally makes sense. 3/4 of the video instructions arent even in the instructions. I'm impressed by how poorly written the instructions are. Like... How many people agreed to ok that manual? I'm... Wow I'm starting to convince myself that the game makers intentionally did this to turn people into Grinches.

How do you know where each player is around the board with only one token for all players?

Looks like everyone playing takes a turn as the grinch then as a who. At the end of the game the whos or the grinch win. Basically its all the players against the grinch. If the grinch has more stars he wins. If the whos have more stars all the players win. Everyone is on a singular team "The Whos" against the grinch.

I’m so confused too…I get you move the grinch around first and then it’s your turn, but playing as a who there isn’t a player to move, how do you know where you are on the board to move to to get a present for your house?

I am not an English speaker, I don’t understand why the people comments this game is complicated. Clue is even more complicated than this, come on. The instructions are just fine. However I am not here for the gameplay. What really bothers me is the main objective of the game. The Grinch is a book about how Christmas is not about the presents and stuff. In this game you play as the whos and you need to collect more presents that the grinch. The instructions literally says “…collecting Presents and scoring Christmas Wishes, to show the Grinch the true magic of the holiday “ As a board game is fun but as a adaptation of a Christmas story you have failed. I’m telling my kids that you place the Presents back in the bag when you score because the whos are learning that Presents are not what they really want for Christmas and that’s why they are singing at the Christmas tree

Very hard and confusing. Even for us adults to understand. After watching various tutorials its still too hard and confusing not alone a 5yr old. We arexin our 50's. Waste of money. Very disappointing. Dropping off to a charity shop in the new year!

There is zero chance a 4-5 year old kid is going to understand how to play this. Don’t waste your money. Waaaay to complicated. I’ve spent 45 min trying to figure out what you do when you’re a Who. It’s dumb
