Fantastic tutorial for the game, the best one I've watched. I did notice one clarification that I don't think I saw anyone else mention in the comments, in the 2/3 player game when the neutral imp is on one of the dummy food spaces it reduces by 1 the vegetable or meat placed on the *mixed* space, not on the space of that type.

Love this game! I think the aging food rule is that if you have any food in the rightmost space it gets rotten. Then you move the rest of your food one space to the right. So you have 2 turns to use your meat :)

I’ve. been playing this game on BoiteaJeux.nett quite a bit, but I watched just to enjoy your content-and I actually learned a couple of things I didn’t realize before! I have hopes to buy this after I move in a few months. Love it! Also, I have to say that I really appreciate all the details-like, the sound effect of the imp falling when dealing with an angry pet. Without the sound, I might not have noticed, and it’s just cool that you put on little stop-motion shows in these videos. Really appreciate your efforts.

Thanks, quibily! Nice to know things like that are getting noticed. How’s the boiteajeux interface? i’ve been playing Roll for the Galaxy on Board Game Arena. It works, but it feels pretty Spartan.

Nights Around a Table BAJ’s interface is very basic, to be honest. It’s not quite as aesthetically pleasing, has a super basic chat, and it doesn’t tell you it’s your turn and allow you to instantly click from your current game to get to the other game. Little stuff like that. But they have some excellent games! (Concordia, Agricola, Dungeon Petz, and Dixit, for starters.) It’s interesting what you say about Roll for the Galaxy. I guess, without throwing those dice around and feeling rich when get to you roll a bunch of dice can’t really be replicated in digital form.

@@quibily Yeah... it's kind of like sitting in a go kart, and you get to wear the little helmet and throw your hands up and go "whee!" but the go kart doesn't actually move from one spot. But it BGA does cue you when it's your turn. We don't use the text chat... we use the voice chat on the Nights Around a Table Discord server while we play, which works fairly well. Stop in some time - you'll like the people there!

Hi Ryan, great videos! I wanted to point out that around 32:20 you state that you lose 2 exhibition points for each imp still in the platform and in the hospital. But you also lose points for those relatives you never fill in their visa forms to join you. Hopes this helps improve the video! Cheers!

Thanks, Sebastián! i think of the Progress Board as the "train platform" where your immigrant imp cousins are waiting to be picked up, so i conflated that area with the petz salez platform in my mind. i've added a card noting the correction, and updated the addenda section on the website!

Oh, gosh. Thanks, David. i teach, but i'm not officially certified. i've taught computer programming and animation to elementary school students all my life, and had a short stint at the college level teaching the same. It's a perfect fit for an exasperating know-it-all. ;)

Are you certain about the food storage/spoilage rule? I thought the food spoiled AFTER the round in which they reached the box furthest to the right. I really enjoyed the video. It is very helpful.
