I personally only like Cross Chop if you’re running a crit build. If you want to run other items such as focus band or energy amp, Close Combat might be better. It’s also unstoppable, so you can make some really cheesy plays by timing it well

Yeah but the thing with Cross Chomp is... the move gives you a chance to escape in case of need, so even if you arent runing full crit build Cross is useful to do dmg and as a dash to attack, retreat, etc... I have escaped countless times from guys with Speed X thx to both dashes and also succesfully chased down many guys trying to run away.

For the ray fight, I love the bushes in bot lane just below the L bushes. Really good opportunities to ambush and get their back line

Actually I play machamp with submission and close combat 🥲with items attack weight weakness policy and float stone and emblems brown and white it works for me like 80 percent of the time❤️

it should be noted that we don't have to play full offensive like Cris. He can afford minimum margin of error, but we may need some more survivability Adding focus band or 6white4brown(HP) instead of 6brown4white(crit) is also a real possibility

Now that I realized that Machamp plays more like an assassin (get in, do crazy damage, then run the hell away before enemy gets you) and how crazy Cross chop + can get, I'm eager to try Machamp to climb Solo q to Masters! Thanks to Cris for this amazing guide!

I used to play Close Combat all the time with Machamp Until I found that Machamp had the highest win rate and when spragels made a video about it I tried Cross Chop once and fell in love with it It's definitely one of the most satisfying Pokemon to play

I had farmed up 8k gem 4 days ago and was leaning between machamp and gerdivour i decided to pick her but now i want machamp almost at 7.5k gonna pick up machamp bcz everytime i see it on the enemy team and they use a unite in a good place its just soo satisfying even as an enemy i adore it 😂

I’ve been implementing eject more during the unite and it’s so nice. Started going through someone that full healed my unite so I ejected backwards to still pick up the kill.

Also dynamic punch into boosted auto attack cancels the auto attack animation. It is so funny just watching their health bar disappear, they never expect it.

I am confused to choose between cross chop or close combat. Close combat make you unstoppable and Cross chop gives you a dash and increase crit rate and damage.which one should I use?

Cross chop gives you better mobility and instadamage if you crit close combat you gotta make sure each punch hits a Pokémon or you’ll lose out on a lot of damage even though it makes you unstoppable dynamic punch hinders them and makes you immune to hinderances so the more efficient safe choice is cross chop

Actually yeah I just use Cross chop and the best thing is that it deal a instant damage and a pretty nice dash forward which is great to catch some owl,frogs and other squishy Pokemon.

Both are pretty fun but you'll probably want to swap out some items and emblems if you want to use close combat. The items shown here are for maxing out crit rate, which is what you want when playing the cross chop build. I like to use energy amp instead of scope lens with x attack when playing close combat. Enemies will pretty much just explode if you x attack into your unite move. For emblems I like using 6 brown 4 white for more hp to combat the lack of mobility without cross chop and stay in fights longer

I don't get why in the game you show you use dynamic punch -> basic attack -> cross chop instead of dp -> cross chop -> basic attack? If cross chop gives you crit% isn't it better to use it BEFORE auto attacking to have a higher chance of crit dmg?

Because often you are going to use cross chop to Reposition so just making sure to get that aa in before

I will always be a close combat gamer. After level 13, You get constant 25% more damage after stunning with dynamic punch. Cross chop feels too unreliable

My only issue with machamp is the fact that if u don't get to lv 13 late game u are complete trash. They need to reduce that power spike to lv 11 in my opinion. Oh and enemies can just walk out of your unite.
