So many great memories playing this game in lunch, on the school bus or before classes... I only played the Double + SandWhich rule though. The game would always cause laughter and some red hands... I ended up playing so much that I would start vs 3 people with 0 cards and end up winning. My favorite trick was remembering Doubles. Let's say you slap 5 + 5 and you win the pile. When you cycle through your cards you just remember that when you play a 5 the next will also be a 5 to get an ez slap.

I only ever played with doubles and sandwiches, no top bottom, marriages, or 4 in a row. Plus, penalties for a slap without appropriate cards and being able to slap in if you are out. I loved this game as a kid.

If you slap the pile when it is unable to be slapped, then put 2 cards on the bottom of the pile.

In the version I play we put one card face up under the deck and we would call it trash. It wouldn't count for top and bottom.

@@MrWillz06 but,,,,, the other slap rules are what make it fun! D: “Sandwiches” require proper attention and recall of previous cards played, and it’s rewarding (even vicariously!) when people successfully get one. 2’s catch you off guard. Once you get it, it’s much easier to play: it’s just a lot harder to explain the rules than it is to simply demonstrate.

Trust me it’s easy to teach to younger ppl, I’ve been able to teach to other people simply by playing it. They’ll get the rules soon enough lmao. It’s easy if you just stick to the sandwich and double rule

Some Additional rules: The "Slap-In Rule:" Even if you have no cards, you can slap the stack (if possible) to enter or re-enter play. This allows for longer games and more Players. (Usually Played as 'Doubles & Sandwiches Only') The "False Slap Tax" of one card to the bottom of the stack (face down) from the offending Player's pile if their slap wasn't legal. (house rules might dictate two) The "A Player Needs to Leave Rule:" The pile of cards can go to the bottom of the current stack (face down) or to another Player with no pile.

Instead of four in a row I do 3 in a row but doesn’t have to be in the exact order. So 7, 5, 6 would be eligible for a slap. Call this a straight. Also, 3 of any suits in a row is a flush so this is eligible for a slap too. Penalties for hoarding/slapping when you cannot, have to give up a card and cannot slap for 2 full orbits.

The way I would play it that you only have 1 chance to slap back in, and that chance would be over once another player slaps correctly.
