Wow, you I thought GTA IV multiplayer is lost in the history. So much memories. Playing C&C was best multiplayer game I ever experienced. Luckily I dont have PC capable of playing right now,.....

@@T0m4sos you gotta add it yourself, you have to go to properties, set icon and then for the path go to where your GTA 4 is installed, select the exe and it should let u choose the icon

hey sorry I don't personally own a steam deck so I can't really make a video but I would assume that since SteamOS is linux that you could run the multiplayer program using wine but I'm not sure how you would downgrade it, sorry

I actually had that question for a long time, I remember the way I was able to change it is by going into a random server and the menu for maps and avatar and all was still open so I used that, I'm not sure how it works otherwise tho sorry

i tried this and my start up crashes after downgrader and everything i followed and can't even get into a online private lobby anyway you can help? i literally followed every step from fresh restart install now im stuck uninstalling and trying to play it with lame old crap install complete edition no downgrade, no online and nothing but rockstar and steam features from the last update ouch!

I had that problem a lot and I have no idea how but it just randomly worked this time when I downgraded it. I think if you move GTA 4 out of Program Files, into another folder it should work

i personally haven't seen anyone do that, but you could download the server file and make a server just for you 2, just put a password onto it so noone else joins

I've personally been using it on many windows installations and nothing suspicious has happened and I haven't seen anyone else reporting anything that it's not safe, so it should be safe :)

Did you do everything correctly? Also if your GTA 4 is located within Program Files you have to specify a new path (like documents or desktop) or else it'll fail to open, also what's the error code you're getting?

I use a Xbox One S controller and it works as soon as I plug it into my pc, if your controller doesn't, try changing some controller settings in steam, idk any method to change controller settings for the rockstargames launcher tho
