Nice job Marty. But may I suggest, at the break after the lead, in that little spot where he says, well I'm here to pick you up and I hope I don't let you down. Your first chord, G is spot on. At and I hope, right at the word hope try a Dmin with 1st, 2nd and 4th, the 3rd finger fouth string third fret for the low F. Try it you'll like it. Thanks for the rest of the song. Be well.

Marty hello I have a stupid question I have been playing guitar for over a year but I can't do a slap strum what advise can u maybe give be to help with this thanks
@partymartyeasyguitartunes17116 жыл бұрын
Think of it as a dance. On every 4th or 2nd beat depending on the tune there should be a slap. Start by listening to the song you want to add it to and then clap your hands to it, where you clap there is a slap!! Lightly strum the strings and when it's time to slap, do it on the down stroke and quickly mute the string with the chubby part of your thumb and then a quick up stroke to get going again. I hope this helps. Hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers so tell your friends about me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx for tuning in, good luck to you and take care

is it just me or does the actual song seem slower? It seems like all the covers/ lessons I have seen for this song and even Jons live version seems way faster than the recorded song.
@partymartyeasyguitartunes17118 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Pullam with all due respect,,,,who cares if it's a little faster or slower? Think outside the box my good man. Make it your own a little, it will Set you free!! Music is what you make it, not what you hear others make it.
@RyanPullam8 жыл бұрын
I didn't mean to be rude I just like it slower. Does the slap work if its played a little slower?
@RyanPullam8 жыл бұрын
Can you explain the count on this? This is the first song I am trying to lean. I know all the chords and can decently switch between them but I am having trouble with the strumming. I try counting but I keep pausing and can't stay steady, thanks!
@partymartyeasyguitartunes17118 жыл бұрын
Yes of course
@partymartyeasyguitartunes17118 жыл бұрын
Strumming is always the hardest to learn when starting out. The strum pattern is DUD/slap UDUD/slap DUD/slap UDUD/slap, throughout the entire song. Regardless of how slow or fast you play it, the pattern is the same. I suggest playing it slow at first until you get the strum and then change to whatever speed you want to play it at. Good luck
