I honestly cant thank you enough, your videos helped me so much and I learned so many songs from them. I wish that you'd get more recognition, you are criminally underrated.

From how long have you been playing? Tabbing songs just by ear is a sign of an incredible skilled musician.

I've been playing for 4 years! Learning songs by ear and tabbing them out for 3 years.

Man, this was perfect. Do you ever consult tabs or are you all by ear? Personally, I do both. Also, you should do Tornado of Souls by Megadeth, I think you’d nail it as you always do! Excellent work MZ!!! A+++++++

Thanks a lot man! I mostly learn these by ear before tabbing them out. If I get really frustratingly unsure about a particular part, I'll usually look for live performances of the band and see if I can get a general idea of what's going on. If those don't exist or if I'm still unsure of the part, I'll look at some covers & tabs to get a general idea of things to try out before coming to a final decision that is based on what I've found to be most accurate.

Would you be able to give me some pointers on what kind of distortion pedal and settings to use to get my guitar to sound like yours? It sounds so perfect and clean and I’m a total beginner 😬 This is an excellent video too, I really want to be able to play like this eventually and you make it seem like magic 🤩

Glad you like the video! Unfortunately, I'm not really in much of a position to give pedal and settings advice. I use software for both my lead tone and rhythm tone. The rhythm tone is actually a preset made by a different person. I just found it on the cloud for the software and downloaded it. I've made minor tweaks sometimes but generally, I did not make it. The lead tone is made by my brother, and it's generally pretty basic. I personally prefer already made presets to getting a bunch of pedals and spending time trying to dial in a proper tone.

@@MZguitar oh wow, I didn’t even realize you could achieve pedal sounds digitally (I feel dumb lol). That actually helps give me a direction of what to look into. Thanks man! Subbed and looking forward to see more of your stuff. I’m just star-struck with your abilities 🤩
