When you "start the groove".....what are the chords and /or finger poiitions???
@cds1520b3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, that really makes it simple for a beginner like me. I am watching your thumb while you pluck the high notes but I am not sure of your slide with the top three strings, where do you go?
@12fretter2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the into slide before and chords are played out the sorry of mini slide throughout the song?
@cds1520b2 жыл бұрын
@@12fretter thanks for your answer I think the first slide is about 2:49

Hey 12Fretter! May I ask you the chords/fretting for the intro/octave ? Greatly appreciate your insights and this great rendition. Thanks so much! Tammy

Tammy, I uploaded a quick video (sorry about the poor quality audio) on the intro here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eICwgaN8ftlqopI see if that helps.

Thank you SO much 12Fretter! That was very kind and generous to make a tutorial video for the intro. Incredibly helpful and appreciate the two options you demonstrated. Thank you again my friend!,

I am a bit embarrassed to ask but…May I ask you to write down the strum pattern.? I have watched multiple times and trying to figure out if/when to include bass note with chord. I love this song and your approach to it but am such a newbie! Thank you so much!!
@12fretter2 жыл бұрын
Let's try this in text first. See if this makes sense: I take it you are not a fingerpicker, so you want to be able to strum it with a pick and get the same "groove". So...after you play the first chord, using all strings low to high, then it becomes 1 pause 2 downstrokes on the low E string only (Think of this as DAAAA DA DA), 2 up strokes from the bottom, 1 pause 2 downstrokes on the A string, 1 upstroke from the bottom followed by 1 upstroke from the B string, 1 pause 2 downstrokes on the low E string...over and over again. Let me know if that helps.
