Dude, since you are so relaxed when you played, you make it so easy... Thank you!!! Bought my alto sax a few months back, and always wanted to make a cover of this song... And now I can.. Thank you!

Good to hear!! My main tutorial channel is "The Sounds of You w SaxJRiley". There are some free tutorials on there, but most of my.tutorials are "cooked to order" and are primarily only available to the customers who ordered them

Thanks for the lesson. Im also new to alto sax. I can`t find out what you are doing in the part of going between E and C Sharp ? You show it with use of the octave key, but can`t get the sax to sound like yours in that part - and not at all when you use the right ring finger. Can you show me more in details. Love that tune and really want to play it with back track.

WOW love the way u show the notes on the screen in easy to read letter notes iv just come across your site i play the alto but im afraid i cant read sheet music so to find your site is a gods send for me . I love soul and blues music and that is why i took up the sax so keep up the great thing u are doing . I am looking to buy a Yamaha alto and a mouthpiece so i was wondering would u recommend something for me at the moment i play a Jupiter alto and a Meyer hard rubber 5 tip opening mouthpiece iv taught myself to play so i wouldn't want any thing to expensive Kind regards Alan
@SaxophonistJamalRiley7 жыл бұрын
Alan Nolan, are you looking for a step-up (intermediate/professional) Yamaha? As far as mouthpieces go, honestly I'm not heavy into mouthpiece knowledge, but I have heard of nothing but good things about the Meyer.

Thx for the video :) Question: how do you play the G# note repetitions like that at the chorus (5:20). Sounds like a phe-ung instead of peh-peh-pehp. Perhaps it’s hard to explain but I can’t replicate it yet. I’m also trying to figure out how ‘ Kiw’ plays that part without a staccato interruption on his channel ‘QKiz Sax’ @1:25. Or at least how is that style and your style of tonguing called? Thanks again!

Hi I’ve had my Alto Saxophone for over 15 years. I would love to learn how to play it. Could you be so kind to do a tutorial for beginners. When I say beginner, I mean somebody that has never even learnt how to-read music or know the correct way how to hold a sax.
