Do you have some tutorial for dogfights i miss every shoot, my plane spins trying to aim some enemy, i get cero stability aiming enemies, speacially with the I-16 type 29 aircraft i hate it. i couldn't continue my campaign . Greetings

The old Joystick I've got at home doesn't work fluent anymore but stutters/jumps which results in an instant-stall XD. Now I ordered a Joystick but until then I am using my PS4 Controller... hope Aiming will be better with a joystick D:

Raude "Axe" Mannevond i have a problem with il2. Whenever i take off it goes left then i turned off torque and everytime i take off it slowsly goes right. I have a 2 axis old joystick. Do u think the problem is the joystick

I have a problem with IL-2, the engine power is 55% upon start, and when ever i change engine power it changes it right back to 55%. I don`t know whats wrong.

I find it really hard to fly with both the joystick and the keyboard. One slightest movement with the joystick will roll the plane 3 times in the space of like two seconds. Also, when I preform tighter turns after doing the instructions you mentioned, it still stalls my plane and sends it into a spiral?..

Sounds like the profile input for your X and Y axis is too sensitive. You can adjust this within the game, go to Hardware Setup > Input. I used have mine looking more like a curve rather than a diagonal line. Maybe also don't set the last value at 100 but instead to say 95. Next try to stall the plane when performing tight turns. You want to set the last number at a value that you can just stall 'at your command' so to speak. If the last number is set too low you should not be able to stall or at the very least it should be very difficult. The input profile will depend on your joystick and your play style so there isn't a magic set of numbers that suits all. Also if you only have a joystick but no throttle controller, then perhaps setup W and S as throttle up 10% and throttle down 10% and setup A and D as left rudder and right rudder. Then re-map some essential keys around those. You should feel a lot more at home with this especially if you play FPS games.

After launching the game you'll be presented with a menu that lets you choose between quick missions, campaign and multiplayer if I remember correctly. Simply select either (quick missions allow you to choose whichever aircraft you'd like to fly solo or against an enemy of your choosing). Hope that clarifies it! Cheers.

Depends on your budget. I have an X55 Rhino. However, that might be a little expensive. I'll list a few joysticks that people in II./JG77 squadron use. Starting with the cheaper ones. Thrustmaster 16000m Logitech 3d Pro X52 Pro X55 Rhino Thrustmaster Warthog I started out with a Saitek ST290 way back, upgraded to an X52 Pro and now have the X55 as previously mentioned.

For anybody reading this. The Thrustmaster HOTAS X is also a excellent very cheap choice for a HOTAS setup.
