It is so true that even the most advanced drummers can struggle with odd time. Often times, that is not the primary focus! I'm so glad you've shed some light on this. As a bass player, this is SUPER valuable for me and helping to find cool accents in 5/8 :D

I have to play 5/8 for an audition (snare part) and I’m struggling trying to play it because the bpm is 104-112, and I tried playing with a metronome at 112 but it was too slow. I’m not sure what I should do, but I’m hoping this video might make it easier.
