Don't feel bad about trying to learn at that age. I'm 65, had a 6 string when I was 14 or so, learned 3 songs, 4 chords, and that was it. Never again, lol. Ended up selling the guitar in my 40's. Been building cbg's for 2 years now, still learning to play those, and now find myself wanting to learn 6 string again..lol! Also, built a 6 string lapsteel a few months ago, and now want to learn that too! ;)

😆 Same! Took guitar lessons in the mid '60's so I could play Beatles tunes but my teacher (a farmer) didn't care for pop rock, just country and taught from the Mel Bay method (aka boring) so I quit after a year or two (I also hated practicing). Fortunately I took up folk music in the late '70's and taught myself mandolin, cittern, dulcimer etc. But, it'scwhen I discovered cigar box guitars about 6 years ago I rediscovered playing rock'n'roll!! Fairly easy to adapt all the classic rock, metal, punk music I want!!!

Hello! I've watched many pages and videos on the net where others try to teach, but somehow it didn't work for me - so far :) Your videos are simple and easy to learn. I like that you sometimes make mistakes, because that way I can learn it much more calmly. It doesn't frustrate me if I'm lame sometimes :) Thanks for the videos and I hope there will be many more!

I appreciate it. I hope to have videos up more regularly. With work and family life, there are times I can't upload as often as I would like, but more will be coming. Thanks for checking out my channel.
